A really big Hickman secret warriors fan requested a pissed off Nick Fury head sketch from me! One of my fav head shots for the weekend.

Hotness!

This is my favorite commission from last weekends Wizard World Austin! Anyone that knows me know that I struggle with drawing women...so getting this commission was nerve racking. The fan had an awesome collection of art by artists who draw pretty women...Phil Noto and Adam Hughes to name a few! I originally was going to chicken out and put a skeleton riding a bomb. Then I figured I'd go funny and do a bigger figured girl....so if it came out bad it would seem funny or on purpose. Finally on the last day of the show...I said screw it! And just tried to draw the prettiest girl I could. I actually like the way it turned out!

With RED WING wrapped I've spent the last month doing character designs and roughs for the first story arc of my and Jonathan Hickman's new creator owned series...THE MANHATTAN PROJECTS. This project is going to be so freaking cool. Here's an early character test!

OFFICER DOWNE- Me and Chuckry

An oversized collection of Officer Downe is on its way...and me and Chris Chuckry collabed on a pin-up for it! So freaking awesome. Wait, how awesome you ask? Chris Chuckry is one of my favorite colorist in comics (and a great illustrator). Officer Downe is one of my favorite comic characters of the last few years, co-created by one of my favorite artist of the last few years as well(Chris Burnham). Double Chris awesomeness plus getting published in OFFICER DOWNE. I'm beyond jazzed about this!
